# DeFi

Bring DeFi access to your users, leveraging Kiln’s infrastructure

## Kiln DeFi

Kiln DeFi is a suite of smart contracts that our partners can use to enable native integration of DeFi protocols into their wallets or platforms. The solution is 100% onchain, fully automated, and provides a simplified integration. Utilize the Kiln API for native integration directly within your platform or customize our [widget](/v1/kiln-products/widget.md) to fit your needs.

The platform is currently integrated with many [protocols](/v1/kiln-products/defi/how-to-integrate/supported-protocols.md) allowing partners to leverage Kiln's tech stack to offer these services to their end users

## Values

Kiln DeFi is designed with the same principles as other smart contract-based products:

* **Transparency**: All actions, including deposits, withdrawals, and fee dispatching, occur on-chain and are easily trackable via event emissions.
* **Security**: The audited contracts are secured with numerous on-chain and off-chain safety measures in place to protect users' funds and rewards.
* **Flexibility**: Integrators can choose from multiple DeFi protocol integration types and create custom offerings.

## Project Licence

Kiln DeFi is under the [BUSL-1.1 licence](https://spdx.org/licenses/BUSL-1.1.html), some smart contract public interfaces are under [MIT licence](https://spdx.org/licenses/MIT.html).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.kiln.fi/v1/kiln-products/defi.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
